Little Girl Anime Power Rankings Season 2 – Week 11

Sorry I’m super late turning this out this week. I’ve been living in JST for the past week or so and had no real reason to drop it. And LGAPR isn’t a reason to switch back to a normal schedule when one is more convenient.

And you thought my references were something.

At least my audience isn’t a ton of children who obviously can’t go view the media I’m referencing. At least I hope not.

Previous Standings

1) Aikatsu! – 66 Points
2) Go! Princess Precure – 55 Points
3) Jewelpet Magical Change – 49 Points
4) PriPara – 37 Points

There’s a battle going on but Aikatsu is going to slowly pull away again at this rate.

Weekly Point Distribution

1) Aikatsu! – +9 Point
2) PriPara – +6 Points
3) Jewelpet Magical Change – +3 Points
4) Go! Princess Precure – +1 Point

A Word From the Big Man
The good weeks had to end eventually. There’s a first, second, and third place finish this week, but it’s all kind of mush. The only clear show that deserves it’s rank is Precure in fourth place.

I’ll be back…for another silly cameo.

I don’t think Aikatsu really deserves first this week, but it didn’t really do anything wrong. In fact, it was the most consistent thing this week. I really don’t know what they plan to do with Tsubaki’s character and if they have plans on bringing her back. But usually being a student at Starlight helps a lot in swaying that to a yes. I’m really just too lazy to actually make speculations about it with all that’s going on with Aikatsu this season. Let’s just say that it was a decent episode on account nothing is really going on right now.

Beat it lady; I’m making art here.

It’s bad when you drop from an already sub par character development episode to one that’s even worse. This is kind of where you start picketing outside of the office and start yelling, “What do we want? Buildup to a climax! What did we get? A shitty character development episode”. I realize that episode 41 isn’t super close to the finale or anything, but it could probably be used on better things than Yui’s art career.

Adorable at 20,000 Feet.

After a ton of well put together episodes in the past few weeks, this week kind of felt like a throwaway for Jewelpet. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think it was particularly on point. All the gags were a little weak and I don’t think anything particularly wowed or surprised me. But Jewelpet is usually so darn consistent that I can forgive a bad week every now and then. Hey, it still didn’t suck as much as Precure.

Love is cool as long as you’re a goat idol.

PriPara probably moved itself up this week because everything else isn’t doing anything while PriPara is actually developing in a direction. I really would like to fail PriPara because 50% of the episode was incredibly painful to watch in terms miscellaneous events to try and piece together the episode. But there was development, and it seems like a lot of fireworks might finally start happening. Let’s just hope those fireworks don’t turn out to be snakes and just leave you with a black turd on the ground.

Wrap-Up
Well, what can you do.
