A shame there was no warning about the cost to keep her fed.

A Word From the Big Man
No better way to return from an off week than claiming the top spot.

You seem angry.

Precure slows down to revisit the classic episode of fairy companion goes to school and causes trouble. It wasn’t really meant to be anything other than a cute trust exercise for Ciel, but that’s not completely unwelcome. The episode also introduced two extra servants of Noire to fill the spot of lost at sea Bibury. It certainly wasn’t the best thing to air this week, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t entertaining.

Nothing quite like fans who deliberately dress up as sheep.

For every cluster of horrible episodes Rola gets, she also tends to get at least one solid episode in return. I’m not quite sure about the timing of this episode (other than it putting more pressure on Yume), but it was, at the least, well executed. I’m still unsure of what they plan to do with Rola’s character this season as she’s a very low priority rival to Yume. And while it first felt like she would have something to prove to Elza, the two haven’t butt heads nearly as much to signal they had anything more than a bad first encounter.

The problem is Rola currently feels like nothing more than a pawn in Elza’s secret agenda. And I worry that Rola will get pushed behind Yume and Hime (again) once Elza starts taking action.

Where did they learn to make crepes anyway?

Karen and Rin have another episode of cute mischief alongside the return of the fat headed Fairilu. It wasn’t a particularly crucial episode to watch, but it did finally give Rin her human form. Fairilu honestly just landed itself so high up with the cute factor, and that made it a lot more fun to watch than the average the lower two shows met.

PriPara attempts the Sesame Street route.

PriPara writes off one of the more threatening characters to unmoderated gags so they can eventually bring her back later with some new character quirks to assist in those unmoderated gags. The real problem is PriPara tried to make you take pity on a character you were made to hate for the entire season up until this point. And rather than doing that, they should probably be trying to make us like all the new characters they just introduced rather than pushing them into the background to say two lines per episode. PriPara has more than enough characters right now that it really shouldn’t be that concerned with the future. It was far from a bad episode, but it was quite a few steps away from entertaining.

Wrap-Up
A shame that nothing bombed this week so PriPara could get a few points for an average episode.
